I’m on register at work:
~waits patiently behind counter with absent smile until a customer walks close enough and/or shows necessary amount of interest
~has a set script of prompts in my head to follow during transactions
~cheerful yet non-descript customer service voice and can repeat same exact tone infinitely.
~breaking from prompts or skipping through parts may cause minor glitches, such as accidentally repeating the same prompt again or completely skipping necessary ones
~absentmindedly tends to my area using the same five or so actions in a continuous loop until new person arrives
~Abnormally knowledgeable in my craft
~wears same outfit every day
~Nothing unusual phases me
~walking away and coming back is like a brand new interaction. I have little to no memory of you
i hate people who b itch abt names sounding similar to NPCs lets be 100% real for a moment and talk about how it absolutely makes sense for characters to be named similarly to like…. important people and “heroes”. Look me in the eyes in tell me there’s not like at least a billion fucking blood elf parents out there with kids named different variations similar to “lor’themar” or like human kids named shit like “Varynn” “Lothir” “Andinn” and shit like that fuck you im right
Oh yeah, dude. I don’t want panic at the disco or blink-182 to play in my head when I look at my void elf. I wish Blizzard could have gone all out. Idfk. Tentacles like crazy, hella’ eyes, more more more. They could’ve gotten really insane with it. I DUNNO. JUST MORE THAN A CHEAP RECOLOUR AND DIFFERENT HAIR, Y’KNOW.
this is the best, most realistic, and most embraceable positive message i’ve seen in a long time. most of them seem so blithely optimistic that my brain picks them to pieces or laughs them off. but this is true. i’ve lived it. i know in my bones that it’s right.
