Hey y’all! I know some of you guys started playing FR wayyyy before me (I just hit 1 year!) and I know from experience what a pain it can be to pick up again if you take a break and a lairful of dragons gets hungry.
Turns out FR is permanently opening new registrations soon, and as part of the event they’re making it easier to take breaks and pop back in:

I just started playing again after a several year break, and I’m kinda lost. I remember how to gather food, but…. thats about it. What do I DO on Flight Rising? My lair is full of dragons I dont remember and have no attachment to, but I have a small memory of people disapproving of exalting dragons that are low level? Maybe? Help!
Nah, exalt at will. It’s good for your Flight’s dominance. :3
You can train a dragon up to level 7 or so in the coliseum pretty quick to get a little more money from it, or pop it in the auction house, but. *shrug* Do what works for you!
@bricelar I think the disapproval you’re remembering is because higher level dragons count for more points in dominance than low level dragons, and level 1 adults count for more than hatchlings, so people are generally pretty encouraging about training dragons up first. I think a couple flights are actively pushing right now? So if you don’t want to do the exalting yourself, you could sell it to them. If you’re interested in that, I can find the forum threads for public dragon buys when I get home, and you can also check out your own flights dominance forum to see if you guys have an inflight system for that. If you’re in water, I can send you to those and a couple other helpful threads if you want, since that’s my flight. Jus lemme know if you want any of that!
I’m actually in nature (plants are great), but I’ll check the forums out! I’m a little confused by getting dragons to lvl 7 “pretty quick”- I must be doing something wrong, cause trying to level up my dragons is taking forever (my highest are only level 6)
Then yeah, either exalting them as is, or selling them to people who will train for a profit might be more efficient for you, esp if you just want to clear house.
Training quick involves having usually two, but sometimes just 1, lvl 25 dragons and takin along a lowbie dragon to the highest level places. I can usually take a dragon from 1 to 7 in about 15-20 minutea depending on luck and if I’m paying attention.
For sure check out your flights forums and see what they’ve got! I know in water, we have the barracuda battle bank where you can get some low level augment stones for free and the pricier ones at a discount, and there might be services that will loan or rent high lvl dragons to hell you train up your own. Keep an eye out for giveaway and raffle threads, esp during holidays, sometimes you’ll see a high level dragon or team available as a prize. Raffles are often how things like the battle bank I mention are funded.
Which I guess dovetails in with those dragon buy threads, sometimes during holiday or regular conquest pushes you can trade the dragons in for raffle tickets. I haven’t looked at them recently since I just offloaded spares for waters surprise conquest push but there might be something. Worth looking over perhaps.
