Nightmare fuel, tearjerker, and hilarious all in one scene, Vimes and the dark, in the dark.
this was one of the most amazing climaxes in all of literature. as exciting as the final whale encounter in moby dick. as dramatic as the duel in hamlet. as emotionally cathartic as the destruction of dorian gray’s portrait. as heartwarming as elizabeth accepting darcy. it gave me all the emotions at once and it made my head spin.
it was also funny as fuck.
